Healthy Rolls | Party Snack | Cheddar Cheese stuffing

Hi Friends!

Me suffered a lot 2 days back.almost my blog vanished.Don't know how it happened. But now so much relieved from that problem. The reason is robot tags.I enabled but it works very well last 3 months.I don't know where the problem occurs. But i solved it am back with the recipes. My friends told about the problem.Thank u all for the information. This time am posting is due to them.Thank u once again.I will post another regarding these problems.

Now come to today's recipe.Healthy rolls made from wheat flour and desired vegetables with cheddar cheese.Cheddar cheese am a great fan of this.It tastes sour and salty and have great flavor used as topping.I used along with the stuffing and  deep fry them in hot oil. This is really healthy as the kids did not eat veggies that much.Stuff the veggies which does not liked by them and make rolls and serve with the sauce.Really a good healthy snack for kids.

Lets start cooking....

 Preparation time:15 minutes
Cooking time:30 minutes
Serves:3

 Ingredients Needed:

  1. For dough:
  2. Wheat flour - 200 gm
  3. All purpose flour / Maida - 100 gm
  4. Salt - as required
  5. Ghee - 2 tbsp
  6. Water - as needed
For Stuffing:
  1. Desired vegetables - 100 gm boiled
  2. Onion - 1 finely chopped
  3. Tomato -1 finely chopped
  4. Garlic - 2 cloves finely chopped
  5. Ginger paste - 1/2 tbsp
  6. Chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
  7. Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  8. Cheddar Cheese - grated 4 tbsp
  9. Salt - as needed
  10. Oil - as required
For Temper:
  1. Mustard seeds
  2. Cinnamon

 Method:

  • Sieve wheat flour and maida and mix with salt.Add ghee and mix well.Add water little by little and make dough as made for rotis.
  • Heat oil in the pan and add mustard seeds and cinnamon sticks.break the sticks and add into the oil. After tempering remove the stick and add ginger paste.
  • Saute until the raw smell leaves and add finely chopped garlic and saute well.
  • Finely chopped onions are added and saute well until it becomes soft and transparent.
  • Add chilli powder and coriander powder and saute in low flame.Add desired vegetables and saute well.
  • Add tomatoes and saute well and add required water.Add salt and cook for 5 minutes.
  • After it get thickened transfer the mixture to the bowl.
  • Make balls from the dough and make thin chapatis using rolling pin.Add the mixture and some grated cheese as shown below and roll it.

  • Paste the ends using cool water.Make rolls by above steps.
  • Heat 500 ml oil and put the rolls and fry until it browned.Drained in tissue paper.
  • Serve with hot chilli sauce or tomato sauce.

Tips:
  • Use pepper powder instead of chilli powder. This will be more healthy for kids during this season.
  • Adding maida is optional but you will get more firm while rolling.
  • Using cinnamon,we use only its flavor and that not leads the kids to find them.
  • Chop the vegetables thinner so that they don't find easily.

Healthy rolls are ready to serve!!!!!
Have A Nice Day!!!!!
Regards,
Ramya.
